To avoid gaining too much weight, limit the your intake of simple carbohydrates. Avoid eating unhealthy foods. Instead, try to consume vegetables with your meals and fruits for snacks. Try to avoid late-night pizza binges that can derail your healthy diet.

Buy used textbooks. Textbooks sometimes cost quite a bit of money. If your college already costs a lot, then it’s likely that you are needing to save as much money as possible. Search for second-hand text books online and in local text book shops. If you buy used, you’ll save a heap of cash.

While you’re attending college, participate in an internship. Internships offer a chance to learn hands-on skills and can also provide a glimpse of what you accomplish after you graduate. If you do well, a job offer is possible. The internship department can help you find a placement.

Avoid plagiarism. You’ll be writing a lot of papers through out your college years. It is your duty to obtain a proper understanding of citation in order to prevent any confusion or problems regarding plagiarism. Professors check for originality. You should get an early start to your day. You don’t need to get up before the sun, but trying to wake up at around 7 AM will give you time to eat a decent breakfast and get ready for the day.

Try to surround yourself with people that are doing the same things in college as you are.
